Lindsay Lohan // Dad Drama
Lindsay Lohan and her twitter page make up another post today - Michael Lohan apparently stormed her apartment yesterday with the poilce in tow.
Lindsay's dad was apparently there to do a "welfare check" on her sister Ali.
The actress tweeted the whole ordeal - highlights include:
"I have no choice but to make this public, due to my sister's safety, as well as my own, "my ex-dad" just WALKED INTO MY APT like the devil's advocate with officers...."
"let's not forget, that my father KIDNAPPED me from a COURT ROOM when i was 4 years old and is CRAZY"
"he has NEVER paid child support, and is marrying a tabloid writer and can barely spell his own name due to his "brain" that has been ruined due to HIS drug use."
"@Lara_Disco my lawyer isn't answering I NEED A RESTRAINING ORDER! MY SISTER AND FRIEND TOO!!!!! HE'S NUTS!!!"
Lindsay's mum Dina has released a statement saying, "I was told by my attorneys not to speak because it is very serious and my ex could be in big trouble. He's dangerous.... If he can't get to them he is going to try to hurt them - it's not good."
Oh the Lohan's. It's basically Eastenders.

Outnumbered
It’s the ridiculous and realistic comments that make Outnumbered what it is. Conversations include what would happen in a fight between the Queen and the prime minister, (“The Queen can’t just have people killed”, “she killed Diana”), Karen giving her own critique of Van Gogh’s art (“it’s all squiggly, he should have went over it”) and how the government makes laws (“they read the Daily Mail and do what it says”).
This episode kicks off with a sight-seeing tour around London, giving the Brockman family the opportunity to spend quality time away from their home without constant bickering. But as sitcom law dictates nothing is allowed to run smoothly or detract from the actually thing that made it famous so of course it was going to open with the dad Peter warning his son Ben off playing “spot the chav” on a crowded bus. while the alpha male fails to command any shred of respect from his young offspring his wife Sue tries to fend off being bored by his mother, who naively organised the trip. On the way, and as to be expected from a comedy that's actually funny, there’s a couple of laughs too.
Definitely not one to be missed.

Jessica Simpson Marie Claire
Jessica Simpson is gracing the cover of US Marie Claire make-up-less and with air dryed hair. Personally, I think she looks great.
The singer and actress gives her tips on hair and make up, saying, "People think updos are so hard, but they're not. Your hair should look tousled and undone."
Jess also gave an interview where she announced that she no longer cares about peoples perception of her, saying, "I don't have anything to prove anymore. What other people think of me is not my business."

Nicole Richie Collection
Expect top hats, and Nicole's trademark flowing, maxi dresses.
On her collection, Nicole says, "My main source of inspiration was this movie called From Hell. It's about the Free Masons and Jack the Ripper so it's definitely about that time [period]."
"We have capes and cigarette pants, vests, jackets and blazers. There are cleaner lines and it's a lot more simple."

Pretty in pink
Pink is a really great colour for spring. It's cheerful and easier to pull off than you might imagine. Here is a selection of my favourites:
Love this hot pink satin bow dress by Arden B. You could wear it with flip flops and a faded denim jacket for shopping, or add strappy high heeled sandals and a choker necklace for a summer wedding.
AmiClubWear has this great one-shoulder mini dress in fuchsia that has a draped ruffle and sequin decor. It also features ruching in front. For girls who like the idea of a short prom dress, this could be just the thing.

E-Sprit
Shoebox Exhibition
They’ve asked children they consider vulnerable to take a shoebox and, in it, recreate a room from their home and then give a short description of what they did and why. The result is some inspiring pieces and a real insight into these children’s worlds. The kids’ boxes are to be stacked together to create a tower block of their shared experiences and outlooks and will go a long way to helping the charity raise money for art workshops and art therapy for traumatised children."
The exhibition took place yesterday and all the finished pieces will be sold off in a lottery auction and there are plans to take the idea around the country, ending up with an entire estate of shoebox living that visitors can walk through.

I absolutely love these Pour La Victoire green wellies. They are just perfect for the spring. Neutral enough to go with anything, jazzed up by the logo and studs.

Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry
So Amy Winehouse has teamed up with Fred Perry to create a womenswear collection spanning over 4 seasons. The collaboration will be based on Wino's signature 1950s style and will be made up of 17 pieces including skirts and polo shirts. The gear will carry a specially-designed logo.
The first range will be in her favourite colours of black and pink. Not entirely sure how I feel about this. I can't help but feel that however much I like Amy, her clothes sense is terrible. Oh well, time will tell I guess.
Gossip Girl :/
Finally got around to watching the return of Gossip Girl last night. From the promos I was expecting something fantastic only to be disappointed.
Chuck Bass continues to be the most interesting character on the show for me - even though his story line was predictable (DUH, that's his mother), his depth as an actor really makes the show for me right now. Blair as the supportive girlfriend is also great though I am waiting to see more of the conniving Blair we know and love.
Lily's big secret appearing to be her spending the night with her ex was not as deep as I thought it would be, hopefully there is more to that storyline...
I'm also not liking Serena and Nate back together but I guess Serena needs something to do on the show!

Emma Watson for People Tree
“Ethical attire that will put a spell on you” Daily Telegraph
As well as clothing, Emma Watson and People Tree have also created bed throws, recycled sweetie paper jewelry, beanies, head scarves and home accessories.
Not only does the collection use 100% organic and Fairtrade certified cotton, it is also made entirely by Fair Trade groups by hand, using hand weaving, hand knitting and hand embroidery to create livelihoods for some of the most disadvantaged people in India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
